A week of Thanks

My friend at Daily Blessings has made a challenge for all bloggers to take this week and name what we are grateful for every day. Since I am never one to back down from a challenge (horrible trait), I am going to take part in this. I have so much to be grateful for and I find blessings on a daily basis.

StephenToday I am particularly grateful for my husband. He honors me and loves me the way Jesus loved and honored the church. He gives me unconditional love and is my soulmate in every sense of the word. I have been through a loveless marriage, and it makes me appreciate his love for me so much more. I respect him and all he does to provide me and my kids (which are not even his) security and love.

Today we got to spend the day all alone with just the two of us. The kids were with their dad. I feel closer to him tonight than I have our whole marriage. We visited the cemetery where we first exchanged vows. We were physically closer than we have ever been. And when I got sick from the nasty chinese restaurant we ate at, he held my hand and made sure I was OK. I thank God everyday for bringing this man into my life. Stephen, I love you.
